Things to do
Situated on the outskirts of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds, Upper Helmsley Hall is within reach of several amenities and local attractions.

Take a five-minute drive to the nearby village of Stamford Bridge, where you'll find a supermarket as well as some lovely pubs and cafes. We recommend The Three Cups for good food and takeaways.
Just nine miles away is the historic City of York, a shopping haven and home to architectural masterpieces, ancient ruins and speciality museums. The National Railway Museum, the spectacular York Minster Cathedral, the medieval Shambles and the world-famous Jorvik Viking Centre are just some hotspots to visit.
The magnificent estate of Castle Howard is around the same distance away and is well worth a visit. This stately home has been featured in several television and film productions, including Brideshead Revisited, ITV's Victoria and Netflix's Bridgerton.
Just under an hour's drive, scattered along the sparkling Yorkshire Coastline, are the vibrant seaside towns of Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey. Then there's Flamingo Land, Yorkshire's ultimate theme park attraction, or the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering, which both make for fun days out with the family.
